Where Do You Stand on Same-Sex Marriage?

View Notes

When voting, the issue of same-sex marriage must come into play. In this video, Pastor George Pearsons, from Eagle Mountain International Church and Kenneth Copeland Ministries, explains the importance of voting in line with the Word of God, no matter what your natural concerns might be. When we stand for the Bible, we take one view on same-sex marriage—the Christian view. God’s intention for marriage is clear—a sexual union between a man and a woman within the boundaries of the God-ordained marriage relationship is right and holy. In this nation, the Supreme Court has twisted the tradition of marriage. We need to choose candidates who will choose judges who respect the Constitution and honor the union of one man and one woman, and who will approach the idea of same-sex marriage with a Christian view.

Anything contrary, the Bible tells us, is unnatural and goes against God’s natural order in creation (Genesis 19:1-7; Leviticus 18:22-23, 20:13; Romans 1:18-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10; 1 Timothy 1:8-10).

Some might argue that true acceptance requires condoning the behavior, but to accept and to condone are two different things. God accepts everyone who will come to Him through Jesus while not condoning everything they do (2 Corinthians 5:19).

The Bible makes it clear that homosexuality is sin, and it opens the door to the curse in the lives of those who practice such a lifestyle. The good news is freedom from homosexuality, and every other manifestation of the fallen human nature, was paid for by the blood of Jesus.

The truth remains, you must vote according to the Word of God. To stand for godly values, to stand for what God has ordained as good, right and holy, you must stand for the Christian view of same-sex marriage.
